Imphal, September 09 2011:
On the occasion of the World Literacy Day, 35 Assam Rifles conducted a series of lectures at Morning Star School (Haika), St Mary's School (Khullen) at Sajik valley and TK Gomphai in Singheu village.
Teachers and students of these schools attended the lectures.
Similarly, 37 AR organised an education workshop on the occasion of the World Literacy Day at Tuijang and Hengshi which included distribution of typewriter, magazines, newspapers and stationery items to villagers and lecture was delivered by AR officials on importance of World Literacy Day and standard of education in remote area.
