BJP demands President's Rule in Manipur

Imphal, September 09 2011:
A high power BJP delegation led by Prakash Javadekar, MP, National spokesperson, BJP who is also state election in-charge along with Tapir Gao, National General Secretary, BJP, P Chandrasekhar, Zonal organizing Secretay, NE States, BJP, Sh Shantikumar, President, BJP Manipur Pradesh, Professor S Tikendra Singh, Vice- President, BJP, Manipur Pradesh and S Ibohal, Vice- President, BJP, Manipur Pradesh met the Governor of Manipur today at 4pm at the Raj Bhawan.
The high power BJP team submitted a memorandum to the Governor of Manipur pressing for imposition of President's Rule in the state.
Earlier, Javadekar arrived in Imphal by an Indigo flight in the morning and participated a joint meeting of BJP state office bearers and aspiring candidate of forthcoming Assembly election at the head office of BJP at Nityaipat Chuthek, Imphal.
After the meeting with the Governor of Manipur, Javadekar and his team met various opposition party leaders at Imphal Hotel regarding the formation of united opposition alliance in the
state.
A core committee meeting of BJP was also held at Hotel Imphal.
The meeting resolved to defeat Congress and Communist parties in the forthcoming election and the party is ready to render their helping hand to other like-minded political parties in the state.
Shyamo, General Secretary BJP, Manipur Pradesh stated that the party will sacrifice maximum seat for the alliance party.
Javadekar and his team will be opening a 3 day Residential Mahila Morcha Training Camp at the state party head office tomorrow at 10.30 am.
He will address a press meet tomorrow at 2.30 pm.
After the press meet, the high level team will leave Imphal at 5pm by an Indian Airlines flight.
