Webinar on Tokyo Olympics organised

With technical support of Physical Foundation of India; National Sports University (NSU) organised a one-day webinar on Tokyo Olympics 2020 - India's Journey and Expectation on Saturday.
Dronacharya awardee shuttler P Gopichand and NSU VC RC Mishra attended the webinar as chief guest and president respectively with total of 746 individuals participating.
Gopichand conveyed appreciation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and union sports minister Kiren Rijiju for extending moral and material support to the participating athletes of the country in the Olympics and expressed hope that the athletes will bring laurels to the country.
He also extended best wishes to the athletes.
RC Mishra also lauded the contribution of ministry of youth affairs and sports, and the Prime Minister towards the preparation for Olympics Games.
He called upon all stakeholders to play their part in getting the right to host Olympic Games either in 2036 or 2040.Former Indian Hockey team captain (1980 world champion) V Bhaskaran, former Olympic long jumper Anju Bobby George, Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna awardee N Kunjarani (weightlifting) and deputy chair of National Coaching Academy Malaysia Dr Lim Bun Hoi were also present during the webinar.
Hockey India president Gyanendro Ningomba, former regional director of SAI Guwahati Dr Subhash Basumatary, Dronacharya awardee coach Nagpuri Ramesh, former Indian Football team member Gouramangi, former secretary (sports) AIU Dr Gudeep Singh, former VC of Swarnim Gujarat Sports University Dr Jatin Sony, professor VC Manav Rachna, professor GL Khanna and sports psychologist for Olympic Sanjana Kiran spoke on the sub-themes of the webinar during the technical session.
