The election campaign of the Rashtriya Janata Party nominee in the Outer Parliamentary constituency, M Jamkhongam has been kicked off today by hoisting the party at his home at Missionland, Lamphelpat.
Speaking at the kick off function, the candidate, Jamkhongam said, he will do social works for the welfare of the people if he is elected as representative of the people in the election.
He will not try to woo the voters with money in any way and even he is not elected in the election he will continue to serve the people as social worker, Jamkhongam said.
Further speaking on the occasion, he said the government is neglecting the important of the police personnel who will protect the life of the general people.
They are still discharging duty with outdated 303 rifles while those security personnel detailing as houseguard cum escort to the VIP including Chief Minister, ministers and MLAs are arming with sophisticate weapons.
Government never thinks of feeling the people sense of security even though they wanted to live in a state of fearless atmosphere where their lives are secured everywhere.
He said that by placing bombs and killing people in the crowded populated Imphal city areas, people are keeping in a state of panicky and fear of what would happened in the next moment.
In this regard, government should think that people generally wanted to lead a peaceful life even they are starved.
For creating a peaceful environment, people representatives, MPs, MLAs, minister need to serve the people sincerely.
So, he appealed the people to choose sincere and honesty men as their representatives.
Talking on the insurgency problems in the state, there cannot bring any solution by killing people in the name of the counter insurgency, Jamkhongam said stressing the need for finding a way to bring them to the negotiable table.
By killing instead of ending the problem, it will help in worsening problems, he said.
Taking part in the campaign launching function, RJD, Manipur State Unit, general secretary Ningombam Ibohal said, the 14th Lok Sabha to the Outer Manipur Seat was a dark day for the people of the state as the person who had been sent to the parliament as people's representative thinking that he will do something for the people become for the people of Kohima.
He also appealed the people to cast vote in favour of the RJD nominee who will serve people without any bar of hills and valley people.
MLA Thanggolun of RJD who also present in the flag hoisting ceremony assured that the party will chalk out a strategy to win the party nominee to the elections to the Outer Manipur Parliamentary constituency.
