Caseload rises as state logs five more cases

Imphal, September 15 2022:
The number of active Covid-19 positive cases in the state continues to rise as government bulletins on Thursday reported five new cases and no recovery.
The five new positive cases were reported from three districts from among 352 samples tested in the last 24 hours, thus, showing a positivity rate of 1.4 per cent.
The five fresh cases (1 male & 4 females) are residents of Imphal West (2), Imphal East (2) and Churachandpur (1) districts.
As there was no recovery on Thursday, the number of active cases rose to 33 out of which 15 are in home isolation.
There are 34 vacant beds available in JNIMS and 61 in RIMS.
No death case was reported on Thursday and the toll stands at 2148 including seven CAPF personnel.
So far, the virus has so far infected 1,39,778 individuals including 5,022 CAPF personnel.
In the last 24 hours, 440 D-type and 85 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities and 2768 vaccine doses administered which took the cumulative number of vaccinated population to 16,38,945, out of which 13,16,539 had received the second dose and 2,56,643 had taken precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (49808), Imphal East (32029), Thoubal (10291), Churachandpur (11281), Kangpokpi (3184), Tamenglong (3496), Bishnupur (9977), Senapati (2547), Ukhrul (3365), Kakching (6973), Chandel (2794), Noney (1173), Tengnoupal (1210), Jiribam (1118), Kamjong (1053), and Pherzawl (477) .
