Micro-observers lodge complaint with CEO

In all seven officials who were deployed as micro-observers on the day of re-poll in some polling stations under 41-Chandel Assembly Constituency on March 4 have lodged complaints with the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Manipur over the amount of honorarium offered to them which they claimed was far lesser than the honorarium given to their colleagues in other districts of the state where re-polls were also held.
In separate complaints lodged with the CEO, the seven officials namely Dr Prabhabati Devi, SMS (Home Science), KVK (ICAR), Chandel; KI Levish Chongloi, SMS (Agronomy), KVK, Chandel; Dr Ameeta Devi, SMS (Animal Science); Ts Ramesh Monsang, Steno cum Computer Operator, KVK, Chandel; GP Kabui, Programme Co-ordinator of KVK Chandel; K Sonamani Sngh (SMS (SWCE) and Motilal Singh, SMS (Agri Extension), KVK (ICAR), Chandel drew the attention of the CEO and other authorities concerned to look into the matter and take up necessary remedial measures.
The copies of the complaints have also been reportedly forwarded to the Election Commission of India for necessary action.
