Naoriya Pakhanglakpa Campaign Committee for Democratic Rights has asserted that the suffering of people in the constituency has been compounded by the resignation of former local MLA from his post over some political crisis that was witnessed in the State.
Speaking to media persons during a press meet held at Kwakeithel Heinoukhongnembi, spokesperson of the committee, Akham Sanjit said that currently, a President's rule like situation is seen in the Constituency with no sitting MLA to represent the public.
Saying that the denizens of Naoriya Pakhanglakpa are not happy with the former MLA for leaving the public on its own amid the lockdown, Sanjit continued that problems and issues have now surrounded the AC with no leaders to address them.
Claiming that only 3 kg of rice is distributed to PMGKAY's beneficiaries in certain Polling Stations of the AC, he asked the Minister and authorities concerned to look into the matter at the earliest.
The spokesperson also said that farmers in the Constituency are hit hard by the decision of S Subashchandra.
He then urged the denizens of Naoriya Pakhanglakpa to boycott the former MLA in the next election.
