Thirteen more cases detected to take tally to 1265

With 13 new cases detected today, the number of COVID-19 cases has reached 1,265 while the number of recovered patients stands at 579 .
The State now has a total of 686 active cases with a recovery rate of 45.95 per cent.
Meanwhile, the 31 cases (including the 13) were detected in the last 24 hours, said a statement of the COVID-19 Common Control Room issued by its spokesperson and Additional Director (Health), Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang late in the evening.
The 31 cases include 15 males and 11 females.
20 cases were detected at RIMS while 11 were detected at JNIMS.
They are from Imphal West (1 case), Jiribam (1), Kamjong (6), Tamenglong (2), Thoubal (4), Senapati (11), Kakching (2) and Ukhrul (4) .
26 persons were also discharged today taking the tally of recovered cases to 579 .
Twenty five persons were discharged from RIMS while one was discharged from COVID-19 care Centre in Ukhrul, said the statement of the COVID control room.
On the other hand, a Government report on COVID-19 status showed that a total of 612 samples were tested at RIMS (238 samples) and JNIMS (370) today.
So far, results of 51,606 samples have been received and 1,260 have been found positive for COVID-19.Out of the 1,260 cases, 676 were detected at RIMS lab and 584 were detected at JNIMS.
686 active cases at present, UNACCO centre has the most cases with 323 cases currently under isolation.
105 are receiving treatment at JNIMS; 71 are at COVID Care Centre (CCC) opened at Tamenglong Higher Secondary School; 40 at TK Woodland Resort, Ukhrul; 33 at IGTU, Makhan Kangpokpi; 31 at CCC Senapati; 24 at CCC Kakching; 17 at RIMS; 13 at DH Isolation, Ukhrul; 5 at DH Bishnupur and 5 at Quarantine Centres (Districts) .
As many as 7,703 persons are currently under quarantine at home, Government, community and paid quarantine centres, showed the COVID-19 status report.
So far, 2,87,913 persons have been screened for COVID-19 at various entry points-Mao, Jiribam (including Railway station) and Bir Tikendajit International Airport etc.
Today, 762 persons including 746 truckers and 16 commuters were screened at Mao while 221 truckers and 25 commuters were screened at Jiribam.
A total of 865 drivers, handymen were screened at ISBT (trucks), YAS Complex, Khuman Lampak (oil tankers) and Sekmai Gas Plant (Gas bullets).
None of the persons screened were found to have COVID-19 related symptom, said the status report further.
