Training cum awareness programme held

Under the sponsorship of Manipur State Commission for Women, Women Handloom and Handicrafts Co-operative Society Ltd, Thanga organised a one-day awareness cum training programme on lotus tea processing at Keibul Lamjao Awang Leikai, today.
The programme was attended by Manipur State Commission for Women, Chairperson Prof Dr Binota Mainam as chief guest; advisor of the Women Handloom and Handicrafts Co-operative Society Ltd, Heisnam Nibidita as functional president and Board of Secondary Education Manipur, Prof Chithung Mary as guest of honour.
The programme held in two sessions by following social distancing saw the participation of over 50 women's entrepreneurs.
At the event, several resource persons spoke on certain topics such as "Agriculture & horticulture general view", "Establishment of new industry & motivation of women entrepreneurs", "Quality control of tea processing", "Young and dynamic entrepreneurs about packaging of food items", "Banking facilities" and "Women entrepreneur" .
Prof Dr Binota Mainam said that the programme was organised to improve the socio-economic conditions of women using resources which are available in the State.
