MLA Ramehswor felicitated by locals of Keirao AC

Keirao AC will surely become one of the most developed constituency in the state one day.
MLA Rameshwor Meetei said this while attending a felicitation programme yesterday for distinguished personalities in various fields from the constituency and was attended by Thokchom Nabakumar, former president, Kyamgei Youth Pioneer Club; Chingakham Meghachandra, acting vice-president, UPAA and Nongmeikapam Ramananda, as presidium members.
MLA Rameshwor Meetei who had recently won Global international Achiever Award, 2020 and Mahatma Jyotibha Phule Fellowship National Award, 2021 was felicitated with a citation and a shawl.
Other individuals achievers that were felicitated were Asem Kennedy, principal, IPS, Canchipur; Wahengbam Kumari Chanu, associate professor, Manipur University; Thokchom Jotin, assistant commandant; Khadangbam Mukta, research scholar, YOGA and Samadram Robinson Meetei and Huidrom Ajithoi who recently cracked the CAPF examination for recruitment of Assistant Commandant conducted by UPSC.
Speaking at the event, MLA Rameshwor said with unhindered support by the people of the AC, many developmental projects have been taken up in the AC which includes plan for construction of Imphal East District Hospital, Heibongmakhong ground to be developed under the Khelo India scheme (Heibongmakhong was one of the 8 grounds selected to be developed in the state), AYUSH hospital and TB hospital constructions have been completed with 70% work completed in construction of Homeopathy College and there is also a plan to construct a Maternity hospital in the constituency.
He also added that as any developmental work or projects are dependent on availability of funds and it takes time, no project can be completed at the moment it is wished for.
Kyamgei was once mainly populated by people whose main activities were agriculture and allied activities, but at present the AC has produced many prominent personalities in the field of sports, education, art and culture and other fields, he added.
MLA Rameshwor further urged such achievers to work towards the welfare of the people in the constituency instead of leaving for the other places.
