Imphal, October 09 2009:
The underground UKLA (MC) has mourned the death of two of its cadres in what the outfit termed a 'treacherous attack' of the Assam Rifles in Churachandpur on the night of October 7resulting to the lost of two cadres while pledging to strike back anyone who is determined to eliminate the outfit.
Refuting the claim of the AR, a statement dispatched to section of media houses by the information and publicity secretary of UKLA (MC), Jamson Kuki pointed out that there was no retaliatory firing from the three cadres since they were not issued any weapon on the day.
"Retaliatory firing report of the AR team was a big lie but we are not surprise as killing armless people is the usual way of the AR personnel," the statement conveyed while adding, the three cadres including the one who escaped were all newly recruited and none of them was a leader.
It further stated that the recovery report of two pistols from the slain cadres was also equally wrong as they were not with any arm on that day.
The statement also denied the allegation of the AR on the organisation as involved in the abduction of a BDO of Saikot last month while saying the charge was without any foundation.
It pointed out that the KLA Timothy group, who were signatory armed group of the Suspension of Operation, was behind the abduction of the BDO.
"Attacking and killing security forces is not in our agenda so far, but if anybody, including the Indian security forces, is determined to wipe us out, we will also start the same mission against them," the statement pledged.
