Manipur BJP unit has extended financial aid to the families of Sapam Robinhood and several other injured protesters on Monday.
A Class XI student, Sapam Robinhood was killed in police action during ILP protest on July 8 and many protesters were also sustained injuries, some of them critically, when they clashed with police in the past few days.
A team of State BJP headed by its Secretary Leishangthem Sushildro provided monetary aid to the families of Robinhood and Haobijam Reson (18), Tensubam Niki (20), Sanjebam James (33) and Maibam Arun (35), all Khurai residents.
L Sushildro said the present Congress Government is acting like a 'joker' and warned that there will not be good sign if the ongoing ILP protest further intensifies in the coming days.
He said there is no doubt that the State Government has been so inconsiderate and uncompassionate towards its own people.
The police are indulging in criminal activities by attacking protesters using all kinds of weapons and even attempting more life after the death of Robinhood, he rued.
