Imphal, July 13 2015 :
State Cabinet has decided to withdraw the Manipur Regulation of Visitors, Tenants and Migrant Workers Bill 2015 (MRVT&MW Bill) on Monday and hold a special Assembly Session on July 15 .
A Cabinet meeting held at the Chief Minister's Office Secretariat at 10 am discussed in detail the current state of affairs in the State.
Later, the Cabinet decided to withdraw the MRVT&MW Bill 2015 .
The Cabinet further decided to hold a special Assembly Session on July 15 during which the introduction of a new ILP bill is also expected to be discussed.
The new development is assumed to be significant against the backdrop of the intensified public protest over the demand of a strong ILPS bill to regulate influx of non-locals into Manipur.
After the decision of the Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister O Ibobi, the Manipur Legislative Assembly Secretariat, Bulletin part-II was released to commence the emergency sitting from 11 am of July 15 .

The bulletin said that the Speaker has been pleased to reconvene an emergency siting of the Eleventh Session (Part-II) of the Tenth Manipur Legislative Assembly.
A meeting of the Business Advisory Committee will be held at 11 am on Tuesday at Manipur Legislative Assembly Secretariat to decide the actual number of sittings of the special House Session.
Meanwhile, the Joint Committee on Inner Line Permit System (JCILPS) has urged the people to extend full support to its proposed dawn to dusk State wide general strike schedule to begin at 5 am Tuesday.
Religious and medical related activities, water supply, electricity and media will be kept out of the purview of the strike, a JCILPS statement said on Monday.
It vowed not to withdraw the ongoing sustained ILP protest until the Government to do away with the controversial Manipur Regulation of Visitors, Tenants and Migrant Workers' Bill 2015 and introduce a strong ILPS to safeguard the indigenous people.
The committee said it doubts the Government's assurance that the MRVT&MW Bill 2015 will be withdrawn in the special Assembly Session to be held on July 15 .
JCILPS asserted that the people want the Government to table a fresh ILP bill and get it passed in the emergency House Session itself.
JCILPS will take up its further course of action after consulting with the people if the Government fails to announce its clear-cut stand on the new ILP bill in the House, the committee warned.
