1st Youth Fest of Impa Lui held

With an aim to promote and support the common platform for the people of Impa- seven brothers (seven villages) situated in Assam, Nagaland and Manipur and to capacitate the role of youth in all round development of Impa people, socially, politically, economically and morally, Impa Lui Organisation (Assam, Manipur & Nagaland) on Friday kick-started its 3-day long 1st Youth Festival under the theme, 'Youth an Agent of change' at Impa Ningdi village of Tousem Sub- Division of Tamenglong District.
The seven villages where Impa brothers of Zeme tribe reside include Mpa Nkang, Mpa Ningdi, New Mpa, Old Mpa village in Manipur; Ikesingram, Beisumpuilua and Sangjiuram village in Nagaland and some 30 to 40 households in Assam.
The inaugural function of the youth festival was attended by K.Humaliabou, Vice Chairman, Autonomous District Council, Tamenglong as chief guest while Lungsu Panmei, Member of Autonomous District Council, Tamenglong and Armstrong Pame, IAS, Jt.

M.P Guang, Executive Member, ADC Tamenglong; Thomas Riamei, Social worker, chairmen of the surrounding villages, delegates from Nagaland and Assam were also present on the occasion marked by hoisting of the youth festival flag at the festival hall, unveiling of a monolith, speeches by the dignitaries and cultural programmes.
Sahingmak Newme, Executive Secretary (ZBA); Diguang Daime, Missionary from Assam and Igimtuing Pame, former member of Impa Lui Organisation (Ilo) will be the speakers in the three day long festival while Armstrong Pame, IAS, Jt.
