MR scuffle with UNC volunteers, bike set afire in Ukhrul

The 72-hour total bandh enforced by the United Naga Council (UNC) and All Naga Student's Association, Manipur (ANSAM) was total with no attendance in all government offices and business establishments down their shutters.
Sources said Manipur Rifles personnel and UNC volunteers were reportedly involved in a scuffle.
The bandh enforcers were reportedly beaten up by three MR jawans in inebriated condition at around 7pm near mini-secretariat, Ukhrul.
On hearing the commotion, the UNC volunteers chased after the personnel and managed to get hold one of them and was seriously beaten black and blue.
In the afternoon at about 3.30 pm, the bandh enforcers set a bike on fire at Finch Corner, located 20-kms on the way to Ukhrul.
