Tengnoupal reeling under Govt apathy

The MLAs of Manipur Pradesh Trinamool Congress have taken firsthand account of the grievances being faced by the people of Tengnoupal area under Chandel district.
After attending a political conference of the Trinamool Youth Congress Manipur at Moreh recently, the party MLAs comprising Dr I Ibohalbi, M Kunjo, K Sharat, Th Bishwajit and O Lukoi went to Tengnoupal and listen to the grievances of the people.
They also met M Lunmingthang, Secretary of Tengnoupal Village Authority and H Thangkholein Mate, Chief of Tengnoupal Village.
Conveying the grievances of the people to the visiting MLAs, Lunmingthang informed that SDO Tengnoupal is currently functioning from a rented room in Tengnoupal Bazar on alleged ground of security problems.
The people of Tengnoupal village are deprived of potable water even though pipes and all other required equipments for providing potable water have already been brought to the village a year back.
Lunminthang further informed that although there is said to be a CDPO project officer in Tengnoupal village under Social Welfare Department, none of the villagers have ever seen the officer.
The office of the said project officer is nowhere to be seen in Tengnoupal.
Moreover, the BDO, who is supposed to be seated in Tengnoupal, is presently in Moreh.
The visiting MLA team assured the villagers that they would extend every possible measures to redress the grievances of the people.
