Association urges

The Arapti Maning Leikai Youth Development Association has urged the authority concerned to intervene regarding the failure to provide proper school facilities despite sanctioning necessary funds .
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club yesterday, the association's general secretary Khomdram Subol Singh claimed that the engineering section of SSA sanctioned Rs 1, 41, 255 as first instalment for the construction of additional rooms for Chaobok Arapti Junior High School on September 2, 2015 but no work has been taken up till date .
He stated that numerous appeals have been made to the headmaster and the school managing committee and added that even the ZEO concerned and the SSA's Project Additional Director had been notified numerous times but to no avail .
Subol further alleged that the second instalment for the construction of the school, a sum of Rs 5,54, 857 has also been unofficially sanctioned and accused the headmaster and the school managing committee of trying to save themselves by blaming tension with land donor .
He said that neither the headmaster nor the committee had informed anyone about the said dispute with land donor all this time and appealed to the authority concerned to intervene .
