Former Minister Moirangthem Okendro has announced that an up to date private hospital will be set up at Heirok Assembly segment.
He also said that a cash reward will be given to candidates who crack the UPSC (Rs 2 lakh) and MPSC (Rs 1 lakh) examinations.
Addressing a gathering at Moirangthem Ibotombi memorial medical scholarship award distribution ceremony at Heirok today, the former Minister continued that the Moirangthem Ibotombi Memorial Charitable Trust (MIMCT) has high regard for the medical practitioners and their guardians for their contribution to the society.
Moirangthem Okendro is the president of MIMCT.
Speaking about the healthcare facilities available at Heirok, M Okendro opined that the demolition of the only CHC at the Constituency was rather unfortunate.
After due consultation with the local elders, one modern private hospital will be set up at the Constituency and civil service aspirants who clear UPSC and MPSC examinations will be given cash awards, he continued.
The programme organised by (MIMCT) was also attended by Heirok Block Congress Committee (HBCC) president Th Ranjan, Heirok Part-I GP Pradhan, Laishram Khamba Singh and Heirok Part-II GP Pradhan, Thokchom Premjit Singh.
The scholarship was given to 36 individuals- doctors and medical students.
