Many fall ill after eating Utsav

Several children of Thanga Oinam fell ill after eating Utsav at Thanga Khunjem Leikai on October 31, reports our correspondent.
The children were rushed to Thanga Primary Health Centre for treatment.
United Clubs of Thanga president Oinam Maipakchao Singh said that around 100 people including many children and the host were taken to Thanga PHC.
Some started vomiting while others suffered from diarrhoea and fever.

Dr N Jiten of Thanga PHC said that around 40 persons were admitted since yesterday while more than 50 are reportedly under treatment at their respective home.
MLA T Mangibabu also visited the patients at Thanga PHC.
The MLA said that he has apprised the matter to the Health Minister in order to take up necessary steps.
