State records negative GDP growth in April 22

Imphal/New Delhi, May 02 2022:
Even as the revenue collection of the country for the month of April 2022 is 20 per cent higher than the GST revenues in the same month last year, Manipur recorded minus 33 per cent revenue collection during the current month as compared to the same month last year.
The gross GST revenue collected in the month of April, 2022 is Rs 1,67,540 crore of which Central GST is Rs 33,159 crore, State GST is Rs 41,793 crore, Integrated GST is Rs 81,939 crore (including Rs 36,705 crore collected on import of goods) and cess is Rs 10,649 crore (including Rs 857 crore collected on import of goods) .
The gross GST collection of the country in April 2022 is an all-time high, Rs 25,000 crore more than the next highest collection of Rs 1,42,095 crore, achieved just last month.
The government of India has settled Rs 33,423 crore to CGST and Rs 26962 crore to SGST from IGST.
The total revenue of the Centre and the states in the month of April 2022 after regular settlement is Rs 66,582 crore for CGST and Rs 68,755 crore for the SGST.
Manipur had collected Rs 103 crore GST revenue in April 2021 but the revenue fell to only Rs 69 crore in April 2022 .
Six states/UTs including three from the northeast recorded negative growth in the GST revenue collection on year on year basis during the month of April, 2022 .
Apart from Manipur, Bihar (-2 percent), Mizoram (-19 per cent), Tripura (-3 per cent), Daman & Diu (-78 per cent), and Lakshadweep (-18 per cent) also recorded negative growth.
Among the northeast states, Sikkim (2 per cent), Arunachal Pradesh (90 per cent), Nagaland (32 per cent), Meghalaya (10 per cent), and Assam (14 per cent) recorded positive growth.
