Death anniversary of Sangreisui Zimik observed

The first death anniversary of Sangreisui Zimik, the Village Chief of Khongbal Khul was observed at Hongman Baptist Church in Khongbal Village at Kangpokpi today.
The observance function was marked by offering of floral tributes at the memorial tomb of Sangreisui Zimik, which was unveiled by Rev R Ayui.
Speaking on the occasion, Chingsubam Khuman Leima, Publisher of "Pandam", a monthly journal in Meetei Mayek, stated that we need to follow the footsteps of certain leaders like Sangreisui Zimik who contributed a lot in promoting integration among the people of the hills and the plains.
Otherwise, the sense of integration and oneness among the different ethnic groups settling in Manipur would be hard to build up.

She further stated that integrity can be brought about in the State only when the present generation fully understands such leaders who dedicated their lives for the oneness among the people of same origin.
The death anniversary function was also attended by Rev Z V Ngamlei and Chingsubam Wangambi, President of MNF as presidium members.
