More condemnations pour in over Kangpokpi firing

Kangpokpi, January 13 2018:
KNO/KRA and Thadou Youth Association today condemned the alleged attack on the 38 AR post by unknown miscreants and the alleged firing by Assam Rifles personnel that follows.
The KNO/KRA Information and Publicity Secretary, T Simte said that the alleged attacked on the security post followed by the provoked firing by the AR personnel at Kangpokpi DHQs has damaged the peaceful environment that existed in the town.
"Such cowardice act has no place in the peaceful society," he said condemning the alleged attack on the AR.
KNO/KRA further warned those involved in the alleged attacked on the AR Camp to claim responsibility before the public on or before January 16 along with the reason for the alleged attack while cautioning that KNO/KRA Intelligence Department (Auxiliary Wing) will investigate the matter if the culprits failed to claim responsibility within the given time.
It added that it will take up stringent actions against individual or group if it failed to claim responsibility.
Meanwhile, Thadou Youth Association- General Headquarters (TYA-GHQ) also condemned the firing of AR personnel in the aftermath of the alleged attacked on the security post while terming it as 'barbaric act'.
It urged AR personnel to maintain peace and avoid retaliation that creates fear and panic to the society.
