The SBI Senapati Branch organized a Green Senapati Campaign at the branch office today.
Different varieties of tree saplings were planted around the SBI campus, our correspondent reports.
Gracing the campaign, PVSLN Murthy, Chief General Manager (CGM), SBI, LHO, Guwahati, announced that a new SBI branch office will be set up at Senapati town soon.
ADC Chairman ML Markson; Deputy Commissioner, Senapati, C.Arthur; Superintendent of Police, Senapati, K Kabib; Deputy General Manager (B&O) Rajeev Arora along with SBI officials and managers from Imphal and Senapati and staff of Senapati SBI branch planted saplings around the SBI compound at Senapati.
On demonetization and the resulting cash crunch, Rajeev Arora DGM, in-charge of SBI Manipur and Meghalaya, appealed to the customers not to panic and not get carried away by rumours.
He assured that sufficient cash will be regularly supplied to the bank.
he further urged the public to know the importance of internet banking and SBI Buddy which is more safer and easier.
The SBI CGM, on his way to Kohima, had a brief interaction at Mao-gate where he met local leaders and SBI officials.
At Mao, much to the delight of the people, he assured provision of a garbage disposal vehicle and promised to increase SBI staff at the earliest.
