Progressive Meitei Pangal Society observes 5th foundation day

Progressive Meitei Pangal Society (PMPS) Jiribam celebrated its 5th foundation day today at Islamabad Community Hall, Jiribam.
Nurul Haque Sajabam, chairman, Manipur Development Finance Investment (MDFI), Imphal, Manipur, Dr MS Jaman Thoubalmayum, president, PMPS, Jiribam, Arif Mujahid, MFS, Treasury Officer, Jiribam, Md Riajuddin Chesabam, social worker, Islamabad, Md Badain Makakmayum, ex-president, PMPS, Jiribam, Er Ahmed Hussain, Assam Manipuri Muslim Youth Front and Ahmed Ali, Imam, Masjid Babupara, Jiribam attended the event as presidium members.
Speaking at the event, Nurul Haque, chairman, MDFI advised the youth and children of the community to work hard and excel in education and other fields they choose.
He also urged the youth to employ themselves and become entrepreneurs who can give jobs to others also.
Dr MS Jaman Thoubalmayum, president, PMPS said that the society was formed to address the various issues and grievances the community is facing.
The society stands for the welfare of its people, he said.
As a part of the event, Meitei Pangal students who have excelled in the Class X examinations were felicitated and encouraged.
A quiz competition was also held for students during the event.
