Imphal, November 12 2021:
Apunba Ireipakki Maheiroi Sinpanglup (AIMS) has made an appeal to put a stop to the import of illicit substances into the State beginning tomorrow.
In a press release issued today, AIMS has spoken out against non-locals who are involved in the trade of illicit substances like paan, talab, zarda etc and sell them openly in the middle of busy marketplaces and fixing the prices of the items as they please.
AIMS also expressed shock at the discovery of several non-local businessmen who operate their businesses without any identification papers or permit.
The organisation has resolved to keep a close eye on this situation and urged the Government to do the same.
