Non-locals registered in electoral roll by changing surname

Three persons from Bihar who are running a shop at Pallel Bazar have changed their surname and registered themselves in the electoral roll.
According to the Joint Committee on Inner Line Permit System (JCILPS) Students' Wing, the three persons from Bihar namely Jaleshor Prasad, his wife Indu Prasad and son Ghanashyam Prasad have changed their surname "Prasad" as "Huirem" and got enrolled in Serial No.410, 402 and 404 under 37/22 Polling Station of Kakching Assembly Constituency.
As per the electoral roll, the three persons have been renamed as Huirem Jaleshor, Huirem Indu and Huirem Ghanashyam with House No.103 of Pallel Bazar.
They are said to be related to one Huirem Biren.
Convenor of Students' Wing M Angamba said that there is a gang working for inclusion of non-locals in the electoral rolls.
The voter ID cards are being issued by the SDO, but the verification of voters is done by Booth Level Officers (BLOs).
Jalesshor and his family are staying in a rented house of Huirem Biren.
Jaleshwar said that he has been staying at Pallel Bazar for more than seven years.
He came to Manipur through an employee of Post Office and he used to sell clothes before running a shop at Pallel.
The Students' Wing has demanded strong action against those officials who are involved in such malpractices.
