Imphal, August 25 2013:
The Joint Action Committee for driver Okram Gyanendro killing's indefinite bandh of Manipur got suspended temporarily from 5 pm today.
The JAC's relaxation of indefinite bandh has been due to the August 27's Hunger Marchers' Day observation and the deceased driver's Ashti rite which falls tomorrow (Monday) .
Shortly before the Friday's strike was about to end at 6 pm, the JAC, which has been putting pressure on the state Government to bring the culprits to justice, had announced another state wide indefinite bandh from 6 pm Friday.

It has demanded the Government to nab the culprits involved in the van driver killing.
Inter-district passenger service between Imphal and Moreh has been affected due to the strike.
Gyanendra aged 35, was reportedly shot dead inside his own passenger van by unknown persons on August 18 in the Naran Konjin Palli area under Wangoi Police Station in Thoubal district.
