Bandh puts an abrupt end to Anniversary gala of BSEM

Imphal, December 22 2012:
On account of the indefinite bandh being imposed over the Chandel molestation case since last midnight, the 2-day long 40th Anniversary celebration of Board of Secondary Education, Manipur (BSEM) concluded abruptly at Imphal Hotel here today.
The closing function was attended by IS Khaidem, former Vice Chancellor of Manipur University and P Dhanakumar, Chairman of BSEM as Chief Guest and President respectively.
S Nabachandra, former Secretary of BSEM; L Kamakhya Kumar, Principal of HRD Academy, Ghari and Dr S Gyaneshwar, former Principal of PGT College were also present as Guests of Honour.
None of the presidium members spoke on the occasion as they were in a hurry to wrap up the programme in view of the general strike.

Prior to the closing function, the Seminar which began since yesterday concluded with Dr S Gyaneshwar as moderator and Dr Geetchandra, Senior Research Officer of Education (S); Asst Prof Kh Dineshkumar of DMCTE; Asst Prof S Phulendro of Kanan Devi Memorial College of Education; Amrita Naorem, Director Shishu Nistha Niketan and Dr W Jyotirmoy, Asst Prof, DMCTE as resource persons.
