Pallel blockade called off

Pallel, June 03 2015 :
Following an agreement between the agitating members of Joint Action Committee (JAC) formed against the killing of Aimol Satu Numei's Waar (meirapaibis) Chairperson M Ruisoting Aimol and the Assam Rifles (AR) authority in the presence of the Government representatives, the indefinite blockade imposed by the JAC in Pallel has been called off from Wednesday.
This was stated by JAC after the meeting held at the Chief Minister's office in Imphal.
The body of Ruisoting Aimol which was kept at JNIMS Morgue has been claimed by the family members.

Demanding punishment of the accused Major Aditya Kapoor of 20 AR, large number of women blocked the section of National Highway (NH) -102 in Pallel.
Passenger buses suspended normal services and movement of private vehicles was disrupted during the blockade.
Shops in Pallel bazaar too remained closed.
The agitating women also shouted slogans and proceeded towards the main gate of the 26 Sector AR Headquarters located in Pallel.
It might be mentioned that M Ruisothing Aimol (56), a mother to six was injured by the bullets of allegedly fired by AR personnel in Aimol Satu Village on May 31 night.
Even though she was treated at Shija Hospital, she succumbed to her injuries at 2 am on June 1 .
