NMSYO reaches out to quarantine inmates at Mao

Feeling the hardships of being stranded far away from home during this Nationwide lockdown period as containment measures against the outbreak of COVID-19, the Northern Maram Students' & Youth Organisation (NMSYO) reached out to the inmates of Quarantine Centre at JNV, Mao Gate with cooked food items consisting of rice, egg, chicken and dal and package water bottles.
18 inmates including 3 females, from different parts of the State who have been quarantined April were provided the cooked food.
NMSYO officials extended gratitude to SDO Mao Songsong, Duna Duo and OC Mao Police, Jonah Chawang who are taking care of the centre, for prompt acceptance of the humble gesture of NMSYO.
NMSYO followed all guidelines of social distancing, wearing mask, hand gloves etc while distributing the food packages.
Earlier, it had also distributed essential commodities to non-local students and migrant labourers stranded at Maram locality, Bosco, publicity secretary, NMSYO mentioned.
On the other hand, TA & Hills and Fisheries Minister, N Kayisii distributed 10 bags of rice to needy households in the district headquarters, Senapati on April 30 last.
