9 UGs, 1 OGW nabbed

Imphal, May 20 2011:
Ten UG activists including an over-ground member of the RPF were appreneded by security forces and police commandos in separate counter insurgency operations in the last two days.
The man alleged to be an OGW of the RPF was nabbed by troops of 33 AR today from his home.
He was identified as Sorokhaibam Khoiba @ Tombi, (39) son of Ibopishak of Sekmaijin Hangul Awang Leikai and he washanded over to Sekmai PS, a statement of the PIB (DW), Imphal said.
In another case, a joint operation 43 AR and police commandos apprehended a KRF activist identified as Kamboi Kipgen (27) son of Thangin of Kangpokpi yesterday.
One 9mm pistol loaded with three live rounds was recovered in the operation, the statement added.
In addition, two cadres of KCP (MC) Lamyanba Khuman, Salam Hemojit Singh of Leingangkhul, Lamsang and A Bikramjit Singh son of Lambal Mayai Leikai, Lamsang, were apprehended a another joint operation of troops of 10 AR and police commandos.
Imphal east police commandos in a joint operation with 28 AR at Bamon Leikai Mange Makhong arrested two KYKL (MDF) activists and recovered a scooter (MN1B-0856) and a mobile phone.
They were identified as Ashem Ken Singh (52) of Yaiskul Hiruhanba Leikai and Loukrakpam Gunindro Singh (43) of Chingamathak Chongtham Leikai.
A statement of the Imphal East SP alleged them to be involved in the collection of money from the general public, Pradhans and Gram Panchayat Members etc.
Troops of 27 AR nabbed a KCP activist identified as L Roben of Lamshang Taothong Khunou during an operation at Wabagai Power House in Thoubal district.
He has been handed over to Kakching PS, a statement of the IGAR (S) said.
Imphal West police commandos also arrested three activists, one each of KYKL, ZRA, and KRF in separate operations.
The KRF activist identified as Kamboi Kipgen (27) of Lhankichoi village of Motbung was arrested during a joint operation along with troops of 43 AR yesterday, a statement of the Imphal West Senior SP said.
A 9 mm pistol loaded with three live rounds in a magazine was recovered from his possession.
He was working under Nanao @ Hanish of the KRF, the statement added.
The KYKL cadre S/S sergeant Langam Deva @ Sadananda @ Khamba @ Ibohal Singh son of late L Achou Singh of Yairipok Ningel was arrested during an operation by commandos yesterday around 12.30 pm.
A 9 mm live round and two Chinese hand grenades were seized from his possession.
The same commando unit arrested a ZRA cadre from Lamdeng Thongkhong near RDO office yesterday around 2.30 pm.
He has been identified as Mutum Satarlal @ Thakur @ Deva (34) of Lamdeng Makha Leikai.
One .38 revolver with five live rounds and two Chinese hand grenades were recovered from his possession, the statement added.
