The series of storm that caused havoc in different parts of the state had not spared even Maram areas.
According to reports and photographs filed by President of Maram Students' Union (MKS), Pungdi P Celestine, a powerful storm yesterday struck Maram areas in Senapati district.
The storm uprooted many trees and electrict posts, blew off roofs of houses and school buildings, which created a great deal of trouble and disturbances to the people of Maram villages.
The villages affected the most by the storm include Maram Kavanam, Maram Centre, Maram Bazar village, etc.
The Maram Hostel run by the Don Bosco College located at Maram Centre had been left without its roofs.
The roof had been blown away.
Other structures including Maram Ashram High School, Rangtaiba Memorial Institute and a Mandir had collapsed under the impact of the storm.
