Bengaluru peaceful, says Liaison Officer

Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forest and Liaison Officer of Government of Manipur at Bengaluru Dr Dr.V.Ramakantha has informed that Bengaluru city has remained peaceful as it always has been.
In a statement, Dr Ramakantha informed that he himself and Senior Police officer Clay Khongsai, who was deputed to Bengaluru, called on Director General of Police of Karnataka at the latter's residence yesterday afternoon.
"Though it was a Sunday, and despite his pressing work, Mr.Pachau, DGP & IGP of Karnataka gave us a lot of his time, and briefed us about the steps taken by the police of Karnataka to ensure that the State remains peaceful".
"We met a large number of representatives of Manipuri Diaspora at the Senior Police Officer's Mess, and listened to their concerns.
Later in the evening, we called on Shri Jyothirprakash Mirji, IPS, and conveyed the concerns of Manipuri Diaspora to the city Police Commissioner.
This interaction with the Karnataka Police Department has confirmed that they are taking every incident seriously which includes verbal assault, threats, intimidation etc, and the people of North eastern Region are encouraged to lodge a police complaint by phone, fax or in writing, not ignoring any unpleasant incidence," Dr Ramakantha further informed, adding that if there is any cause for concern, people from Manipur may free to call him on his 08892236015 anytime.
