CM flags off 'Road to London 2018' rally

Imphal, April 16 2018:
Chief Minister N Biren today flagged off 'Road to London 2018' car rally from Hotel Classic Grande complex, Chingmeirong.
The tour being organised by Adventures Overland Private Limited will cover 18 countries.
The flagging off ceremony was graced by Forest & Environment Minister Th Shyamkumar; Social Welfare Minister Nemcha Kipgen; Director of Adventure Overland Private Limited, Sanjay Madanand several Government officials.

CM Biren speaking at the occasion said that the North East region is becoming one of the favourite destinations for adventurers coming from different parts of the country and many foreign countries.
He asserted that Imphal-Moreh road along National Highway-2 acts an important route for adventurers as Manipur is set to South East Asian countries.
Sanjay Madan informed that a total of 27 people with 16 Sport-Utility Vehicles are taking part in the rally which will cover around 16,000 km in 49 days.
He added that Adventure Overland Private Limited had organised a similar car rally in last year with the rally flagging off from Imphal.
