Will not force test, jab: Kakching MLA

While declaring that there will be no forceful conduct of Covid-19 testing and vaccination, Kakching MLA Mayanglambam Rameshwar has appealed to the public not to believe in hearsay or false information circulated on social media but get themselves tested and vaccinated for Covid-19 .
Speaking on the sidelines of a Mass Covid Testing initiate by him along with Kakching Zilla Parishad up-adhyaksha Md Nazimuddin, district administration Kakching, chief medical officer Kakching and Covid Task Force Sora at Sora High School on Thursday, the MLA emphasised on the need for protecting ourselves from Covid-19 and said that it is utmost necessary that testing and vaccination is done for this.
He further assured that vaccination is safe as PM, chief minister, MLAs and he himself have taken the vaccine as it is the only solution to defeat the pandemic.
During the mass testing which was conducted by Kakching district Covid Testing Team, 32 people were tested out of which four were found positive for Covid and they were immediately shifted to the newly opened CHIC at Sora High School.
Later, MLA M Rameshwar oversaw the mass Covid vaccination programme at JnNRUM Hall, Kakching Sumak Leikai organised by Kakching district Health Department and Kakching Ward No 12 Covid Task Force.
During the mass vaccination, 115 people who are over 45 years of age were vaccinated.
