Two-day workshop for artisans

The Council of Handicraft Development Corporation kick started a two-day workshop on 'Export procedure documentation, compliance, digital marketing and management', for handicraft and artisan at Hotel Classic today.
Speaking at the inaugural programme, Digital Marketing Expert and Consultant Manojkumar Jha stressed the need to focus more on export than domestic market to promote the crafts of Manipur.
During the two-day workshop, experts will elaborate how one can export their products, which licence should be procured, what is in demand at international market and what documentation are needed etc.
The workshop will also discuss ways to digitalize State's handicraft market.
Assistant Director, CAD and Director of Commerce and Industries W Birenjit Singh said, "Export Promotion Council for Handicraft (EPCH) in Delhi allows export to any country once you are registered with it" .
National Awardee Umakanta Singh, Assistant Director (AD) MSEC, Imphal, M Sanjeev Kumar Singh and HPO, MSEC, Imphal, A Aganibala Devi also attended the opening function of the seminar.
