MoS Power reviews developmental schemes

Union Minister of State for Power & Heavy Industries, Government of India, Krishnan Pal Gurjar on Wednesday chaired a review meeting of various developmental projects/schemes implemented in Chandel district under the Government of India at Conference Hall, DC Office Chandel.
Speaking on the occasion, the Union Minister stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with the objective of bringing development in underdeveloped areas of the country, the Central Government had identified around 144 most underdeveloped districts in the country and of which Chandel is one of them.
"In these districts, special emphasis is being given for proper implementation of developmental projects and schemes in all the sectors like Health, Education, Sports, Infrastructure, Electricity, Drinking water, etc to ensure that these areas are at par with other developed districts", he added.
Appreciating the District Administration Chandel for its hard work in trying to achieve the targets set by the Central Government, the MoS said, "Lot more is left to be done in the district and the Central Government is ready to provide all the necessary resources for it" .
Earlier, the meeting began with a Powerpoint presentation by Deputy Commissioner Chandel, Rajkumar Mayanglambam regarding the ongoing projects in the district.
Different District Level Officers also interacted with the Minister during the meeting.
As part of his visit, the Minister also interacted with different SHGs of the District.
The meeting was attended by SP Chandel, Mahesh Naraian; ADC Chandel, Md Firoj Khan; SDOs, DLOs and other officials of the district.
