Imphal, June 08 2021: The JAC against the 'brutal killing' of Phisabam Ruhani has submitted a memorandum to the State Government to take befitting legal actions against Md Saruk Khan (deceased's fiance) and people involved in the 'killing' of Phisabam Ruhani within 72 hours.

Md Saruk Khan @ Sabir, s/o of Md Abdullah Chesam is a resident of Santhel Mamang Leikai.

A press release issued by the JAC said that a copy of the memorandum has been submitted to Chief Minister N Biren Singh, DGP, Wabagai AC MLA, SP Imphal West and Officer-in-Charge of Mayang Imphal police station.

The JAC said that Ruhani Ruhani, daughter of Ph Burhauddin of Uchiwa Nastao Awang Leikai was found dead at Md Saruk Khan's house on May 11 morning under mysterious circumstances.

Ruhani was 6 months pregnant at the time of her death, said the JAC.

Claiming that there is strong evidence that Ruhani was killed by her fiance and his family members (Md Saruk's father and brother), the JAC urged the State Government and authorities concerned to reward life imprisonment or capital punishment to all who are found guilty.
