No loss in studying law: Gopeshwar

Encouraging students to take up higher studies in law for a profession, Principal of LMS Law College M Gopeshwar has stated, "Unlike other courses, there is no loss in studying law, it's one of the most lucrative and job oriented courses".
Speaking at the 54th Foundation Day of the premier law college in the state, Gopeshwar said, "If a person puts some effort and work sincerely, he/she could be a successful lawyer in future.
Because of the opportunities available for law students, there is a clear sign of increasing number of students pursuing law study in recent years".
Stating that "Ignorance of law is no excuse" the Principal added, "If one goes to a foreign country without knowing the law of the land and breached the traffic rules, he has to be punished, there will be no excuse on account of his ignorance of the rules".
Recollecting early days of the college, Gopeshwar said, "It was a hard time for the founder members to brought up the college into a full fledge institution.
However, since the college has been approved by the government many aids are coming in from time to time and now the college has changed a lot".
"After completion of the construction work on college buildings, we will have around 35 rooms and I also believe that new courses like integrated 5-years courses are likely to be introduced in near future," he added.
Salatur Rehman, Lecturer LMS Law College, who shared the dais along with Gopeshwar, pointed out that as law students, dedicated labor and competitive mind is very important in today's globalization era.
