Two women including a bride found dead

Two women, including one who was supposed to get married today were found dead at two different locations yesterday.
The first incident happened at Thangmeiband Maisnam Leikai at around 5.50 am yesterday while the second incident took place later in the evening of the same day at Khongman Zone � II .
The woman who died at Thangmeiband Maisnam Leikai has been identified as Thokchom Bidyarani Devi @ Naobi (30), d/o Th Krishna Singh while the second woman has been identified as Shijagurumayum ongbi Langpoklakpam ningol Romita @ Romi Devi (35) d/o L Meina Singh.
According to sources, Thokchom Bidyarani was supposed to get married today to an Army officer who is a resident of Moirang Ngangkha Lawai.
She was found hanging inside the bathroom of her residence.
Her mortal remains were claimed today by her family without conducting a post mortem from RIMS.
In the second incident, Shijagurumayum ongbi Romita @ Romi was allegedly found hanging at the residence of her husband Shijagurumayum Bidyananda @ Bubu (42) at Khongman Zone � II .
Addressing an emergency press meet which was held this evening at Manipur Press Club, the sister-in-law of the deceased woman who identified herself as Langpoklakpam ongbi Jamuna Devi claimed that there were bruise marks and swelling on different parts of Romita's body.
Jamuna went on to assert that her sister-in-law called her at around 6 pm yesterday to pick her up from Singjamei area in a very suspicious manner.
Jamuna said that she subsequently dialled the husband of Romita and asked him to pick up his wife from the Singjamei area where his wife (Romita) was staying.
She continued that she told both Romita and Bidyananda to call her back after they meet to ensure the couple has no dispute.
Jamuna added that Romita's daughter picked up the phone when she dialled Bidyananada after repeated attempts and responded that her mother was taken to JNIMS after she was found hanging.
The doctors there claimed that Romita was brought dead at around 8 pm when we reached the hospital, she added.
B Ibomcha Sharma, the convenor of the JAC formed in connection with the death of Romita urged the Government to probe the incident.
A complaint has been lodged in connection with the case at Irilbung police station today.
