Tamenglong gets Rs 8,85,66,000 for MSDC

Tamenglong, April 29 2011: THE TAMENGLONG Autonomous District Council has released work orders to be executed in the district under Multi Sectoral Development Programme, MSDP 2010- 2011.Developmental works include construction of 90 Primary School buildings, 23 Junior High school buildings, 75 Anganwadi Centres and construction of 12 water supply schemes with total amount of Rs 8,85,66,000 for the whole of the district.

According to the highly place source available to the Hueiyen News Service today the work orders have been issued in Imphal at ADC Tamenglong branch office.

Out of 90 Primary School to be constructed in the whole district 27 are to be construct in Tamenglong block, 21 for Nungba, 3 for Khoupum, 19 for Tamei and 20 are for Tousem block.

Out of 23 Junior High School buildings, 10 are in Tamenglong block, Nungba 2, Tamei 6 and Tousem block has 5.While in all 75 Anganwadi centres, 20 for Tamenglong block, Nungba 12, Khoupum 13, 15 each for Tamei and Tousem block respectively.

In water supply scheme out of 12 work orders, 4 are for Tamenglong block, Nungba 3, Tamei 2 and 3 projects will be executed in Tousem block, the source said.

Meanwhile the Executive Director of ADC Tamenglong Joseph Pauline MCS said that the government of India has kind enough the most backwardness district by providing MSDP to be developed like other district.

He said if the government of India sanction billions of money all will be leak and will be lost if the concern contractors are not sincere.

'We need to change the most backwardness district into developed district, by properly executed the funds with sincere and honesty', the Executive Director ADC Tamenglong said.

He also appeals to all contractors to properly execute the works with sincerely and honesty.

According to the Executive Director of ADC Tamenglong the MSDP funds 2009- 2010 had implemented in Indira Awas Yojana, IAY for rural housing scheme to 1900 beneficiaries.

The works proposal for 2011- 2012 has also been submitted to government of India, he added.
