Identifying the accused person as 70-year old Md Kora of Waithou (Lilong) Sangomshang, they recounted that Kora came begging at the victim girl's house and taking advantage of her parents not present at home, Kora outraged modesty of the young girl at around 6 pm of January 19 .
It is said that amid agitation by several organisations against the crime, Kora went into hiding before being pulled up by the police from Jiribam on February 5 .
They further mooted that as the accused person is in police custody relevant legal procedures should be initiated against Kora and punished in the most stringent manner.
