Golden jubilee celebrated

Established in 1969, the Keithelmanbi Government High School, earlier known as KM Carriappa School has celebrated its golden jubilee, today.
KM Carriappa, the first Indian Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Army Field Marshal established a ME School at Keithelmanbi which was earlier known as KM Carriappa School and later the school was converted into Government Model High School in 1969 .
The school was recognized by BOSEM in the year 1974 and the school was converted into full-fledged Government High School in 1982 .
Deputy Commissioner, Kangpokpi Lalithambigai Kalidas, graced the auspicious celebration as chief guest while Col Anil Jha, 38 AR, ATSUM Education Secretary, Kakai Singsit and TSA-GHQ Secretary, Michael Lamjathang attended as guests of honour and founder Headmaster and Retired ZEO, Thangkam Singsit attended as functional president.
A monolith erected in commemoration of the Golden Jubilee was unveiled by Lalithambigai Kalidas while it was dedicated by Paogoulen Sitlhou, Youth Secretary, TBA-I who attended as the celebration minister.
It is worth mentioning that during its 50 years of service, Keithelmanbi Govt High School had produced many successful persons in the society.
Apart from the general public and student community, former teachers such as ZEO Retd and founder Headmaster Thangkam Singsit, Dr Seiboi Singsit, IFS (retd) and alumni of the school such as Ngahchong Kipgen ZEO (retd), Seikhohao Sitlhou, Bank Manager also attended the celebration.
At the event, Lalithambigai Kalidas expressed her happiness in witnessing the golden jubilee celebration of Keithelmanbi Government High School with many feather on its head during its 50 years of service which according to the IAS officer demonstrated the sincere effort and commitment in imparting education among the mass.
Meanwhile, Col Anil Jha who attended the occasion on behalf of his Commanding Officer, Col Naithani, CO Lairouching motivates the students on health education while founder Headmaster Thangkam Singsit highlighted how the school was established.
ATSUM education secretary, Kakai Singsit and TSA-GHQ General Secretary Michael Lamjathang also spoke on the occasion encouraging the teachers and students of the school while assuring to render maximum cooperation and support for the development and progress of the school.
Cultural dance presentation by students from various communities, honouring founding teachers, well-wishers, and appreciating alumni marked the occasion.
The celebration committee of the Golden Jubilee Secretary, Paogoulun Chongloi extended gratitude to the former teachers, alumni, well-wishers, contributors, donors, student community and their parents and guardians for their commendable support and cooperation in making the celebration a grand success.
