Skeletal remains identified

The skeletal remains found yesterday evening inside Mayangkhang jungle near Taphou Kuki in Senapati district by some students who were on picnic party has been retrieved this morning by Senapati Police and identified as that of missing Hengbung brick factory labourer.
A team of Senapati police and owner of Hengbung brick factory including the deceased family members went to the spot this morning where the skeletal remains were found.
The family members identified the skeletal remains as that of Chhatrajit Kangujam, a labourer in the brick factory located at Hengbung who went missing since Nov 18 last year through the diary and clothes remains.
Chhatrajit sister accompanied by the deceased's son expressed discontentment over the alleged callous action initiated by the Senapati Police who left the skeletal remains at the station to be received only after post mortem.
In the meantime Senapati Police registered Unnatural Death case today under Section 174 CrPC in the case.
The skeleton will be taken to Imphal tomorrow for post mortem examination.
