The United Kuki Liberation Front (UKLF) has clarified that Hemkhothang Touthang and Jangmang Baite of Jangngoulen village were 'enlightened' on certain issues pertaining to Kuki nationalism since they missed to notice some vital points and they were apprehended for their covert and overt involvement in KNLF activities.
A statement issued by MP Haokip, information and publicity secretary of UKLF said that the two were never assaulted as alleged by the KNLF/KNO.
Punishment of the highest degree is awaiting them if they fail to mend their ways in future.
The KNLF statement shows that they are armed gangs of certain political party, it said.
The term 'Zo-land' as used by the KNLF is unknown to the Kukis.
The use of the term Zalengam, Kukiland, Kuki State and now Zo-land shows the KNLF/KNO's lack of political vision, the UKLF said.
Meanwhile, the UKLF also strongly condemned the attack on the residence of Mangi Aimol, PRO of UKLF unit-III at Aimol Satu village by some miscreants which resulted to damage of properties worth lakhs
of rupee.
Such thoughtless attack on senior national worker is uncalled for under any circumstances, it said.
