Imphal, October 30 2019:
The Peace talks between the Government of India and the NSCN-IM should bring about an 'acceptable' solution that does not affect integrity, identity and existing administrative set-up of Manipur, said Communist Party of India.
The CPI is closely monitoring the prevailing situation in the State and the Naga Peace talk, said its National leaders today in a meeting at Mumbai.
CPI Manipur State Council (MSC) secretary Sotinkumar, National secretary Amarjeet Kaur and National Council member Sukumar Damle attended the meeting which discussed the ongoing Indo-Naga Peace talk, said a statement issued by CPI MSC assistant secretary M Joykumar Luwang today.
The people of Manipur are very much apprehensive of the possible outcome arising out of the Indo-Naga Peace Accord, which is in the final stage tentatively to be signed on October 31.The entire State is in turmoil, creating law and order problems, breach of peace and tranquillity.
The talks should bring 'acceptable' solution that doesn't affect State's integrity, observed the National leaders.
The talks and the final agreement should be confined within the territory of Nagaland only and not affect its neighbouring States, said CPI.
