State BMX rider leaves for Red Bull course

State BMX rider - Mayanglambam Gupta left Imphal to participate in Red Bull Under My Wings course yesterday.
The rider was formally flagged off by Ajit Pal Singh, Post Commander of 40 Assam Rifles, Andro Post.
Another rider - Khundrak-pam Ronex was also selected for the course.
However, he has been dropped due to an injury suffered in his collar bone in a practice session.
Eight riders have been selected from the whole country for the course.
Well known Japanese BMX flatland rider Yohei Uchino (Uchhie) will conduct the workshop from June 10 to 12 in Pune.
The workshop will be an intensive three-day event where eight chosen participants will get to showcase, learn and perform together with Uchhie himself.
Uchhie will conduct a hand-holding session with Indian BMX bikers where he will discuss their techniques on the first day.
Uchhie will conduct a master-class with the BMX bikers by showcasing his skills on the second day.
On the third and concluding day, a finale showcase will be performed by the participants with Uchhie.
Uchhie is one of the most well-known Japanese BMX flatland riders in the world.
His original trick, the Uchhie spin came into fashion in 2003.He was awarded the title of the first Japanese world champion of the Voo Doo Jam, the World Championship held at New Orleans, US in 2008 .
