Toppers spell out their dreams for the future

Civil service, scientist and Chartered Accountant are the dreams of the four toppers from the Science, Commerce and Arts stream, the result of which was announced today Laishram Librada Singh of Xtra Edge School Ghari, who secured the 1st position in the Science stream of the Class XII examination has expressed desire to become a scientist in the future.
Speaking to media persons ay his residence, Librada, who is the son of Laishram Jadumani Singh and Laishram (O) Kunjarani Devi of Yairipok Laishram Leikai, said that he wishes to thank his parents, friends, hostel warden, teachers and all his well wishers for his success.
He further said that he used to study for 15 hours per day, especially during holidays and added that he usually revises and try to digest all the lessons taught by the teachers during the day.
He also added that relied only on his textbooks during the preparation for the exam.

On the other hand, Micheal Atom, who also secured the 1st position in the Science stream, has expressed his desire to appear for the UPSC exam after pursuing Physics or Maths in Delhi University.
He said that he used to study for 2-3 hours normally during school days and 7-8 hours during holidays.
Stating that he went for tuitions for all subjects for additional information/support apart from the school lessons, he said that he also secured the 6th position in Class X .
He further credited his teachers, parents and friends for his success.
On the other hand, Gurumayum Roberto Sharma of Sangai Higher Sec School Chumbriekhong, son of G Anand Sharma and G (o) Jashodhara Devi, who secured 1st position in Commerce stream of the Class XII examination conducted by COHSEM, has said that he wishes to pursue BCom and become a Chartered Accountant in the future.
Speaking to media persons, he said that he did not have a fix time for study but normally studied for around 3 hours per day and added that he used to work in his free time to help his family.
He continued that he went for Accountancy, Economics, Math and English coaching and added that he tried hard not to keep anything pending.
He also credited his teachers, parents and well wishers for his success.
Oinam Barlin Meitei, a student of Enlighten Knowledge (EK) Higher Secondary School Sangakpham, who topped the Arts stream has expressed desire to enter Civil Service.
Oinam Barlin is the second among three children of Oinam Brojen Singh and Oinam (O) Tulsi Devi of Wangoo Sandangkhong, Sugnu AC, Kakching district.
Barlin's father, Oinam Brojen is a stringer of DDK News as well as a farmer while his mother is a housewife.
He passed the Class X exam from Eureka Academy, Thounaojam by scoring a total of 82.3 percent.
After getting enrolled in EK Hr Sc School Sangakpham, he topped the Class XII exam in Arts stream this year by scoring 89 percent.
Speaking to The Sangai Express at his residence today, Oinam Berlin said that he gave his best in this year's Class XII examination and expressed happiness that he has managed to top in the Arts stream.
He then attributed his success to his parents and teachers who offered unconditionally support to him.
He explained that he did not have a fixed study hour pattern and added that he did not go for any tuition as well.
If one is determined and hard-working, one will eventually succeed, he added.
Barlin further said that he wish to continue his study at either St Stephen's or Hindu College and aim for Civil Service Exams.
