1st STSM Sub-Jr Girls Inter Club Football : WFA, YWC-L notch up convincing wins

WFA, Kakching and YWC, Langthabal stretched their winning runs by registering emphatic wins against their respective rivals today in the ongoing 1st Sapam Tombi Singh Memorial Sub-Jr Girls Inter Club Football Tournament organised by All Manipur Football Association at Mapal Kangjeibung.
WFA which bounced back with a comfortable 5-0 win against PLL in the previous match maintained their fine form to romp past AMMA FC, Andro 5-1 today.
WFA led the first half 2-1 with goals coming from U Luxmi and M Ambika before Kh Bhumika completed her hattrick to make it 5-1 at the end.
U Luxmi put WFA ahead early in the 5th minute with a fine shot but AMMA FC managed to draw level with the help of Ph Abema in the 21st minute.
WFA however made a swift return towards the end of the first half and it was M Ambika who helped WFA regain the lead in the 32nd minute.
AMMA FC were kept on their toes in the second half as WFA forwards creating more chances with fine passes and better understanding.
Soon, Kh Bhumika who was waiting for her turn gave WFA the third goal in the 48th minute before striking two more goals in the 50th and the 62nd minute of the match to complete the 5-1 rout.
Meanwhile in another match of the day, YWC-L blanked PLL, Churachandpur 7-0 to complete their third win at the tournament.
Kimtelangel shone in the match as she struck four goals alone, two goals each side of the break to help YWC register their biggest win at the tournament.
YWC got off to a flying start and had their opening goal in the 15th minute through Hoineihat while Kimtelangel quickfired two goals in the 33rd and the 34th minute before T Thoibisana scored during additional time of first half (35+1) to make it 4-0 at the break.
After the break, YWC-L pressed the Churachandpur side for more goals and Kimtelangel fetched two more goals (61st and the 62nd) before L Babisana drove home the final goal during stoppage time (70'+2') to ensure the 7-0 finish.
