Chief Judicial Magistrate Imphal West has allowed the prayer of Khulem Jiten (41) of Naoremthong Khulem Leikai to grant some time to communicate with his counsel in connection with the murder of his uncle.
Khulem Jiten was convicted and sentenced to 10 years in jail by the Session Court Imphal West in September last year, in connection with the murder of one of his uncles, Khulem Krishnamohan and attempting to murder another, Khulem Priyobarta, in the evening of June 30, 2015 .
Khulem Jiten was produced before the Court today in connection with the murder case of another of his own uncle, Khulem Tomba at Langol Punshi Leikai adjacent to Langol Games Village Zone-II on July 27 last year, while he was on bail in connection with his previous murder case and for the committal hearing regarding the charge sheet submitted by the IO after completion of investigation of the said case.
During his production before the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Khulem Jiten prayed for time to communicate with his counsel and as such the Court allowed his prayer and fixed May 22 for the committal hearing.
